State of Design

The State of Design Festival has been on in Melbourne this month, I feel so lucky to live in a city that celebrates design in such a way. Last weekend I went along to the Design Made Trade - trade show at the Melbourne Exhibition building - which is an amazing building in itself. Stupidly I forgot to charge my camera after my NT trip, so I have no photos for you!
I did however get to meet a few inspiring people including Anita Cummins the lovely face and busy bee behind the pantone pom poms. - It was great to be able to talk to somebody who is as nutty about pom poms as me.

On Friday Night I was privileged to compete in Iron Designer - which was held as part of the festival. It was an amazing night which was full of laughter and silliness! (two of my favorite things!)

Brainstorming in the final - the three words were . . . moon - yellow - cycle
did you notice the yellow bicycle brooch i'm wearing? we didn't!

Tin & Ed - Iron Designers 2010 - below is what they did to win. . .

ET (wearing yellow), a bike and the moon. . . you probably had to be there but it was very funny!

Well on that note I'm going to wrap this up! It's been an amazing couple of weeks
- Thanks to everyone that was involved!

Hello!

I’m sorry for being so quiet lately, but I’ve been out adventuring. . .
I’ve had some happy days, met some AMAZING people and had the best trip
of my life!
Here are a few snaps for you . . .

you can only see their feet, but these two girls are a m a z i n g !

Ubirr . . . In my opinion one of the most beautiful places in Australia.

And I guess you can't go to the NT without seeing Uluru. . . the scale alone blew me away.

Xx
